John's birthday, Father's day and Beyond!

What a great weekend, even with the rain and cold!
It was a wonderful get-together at Sue and Becky's place in the country. A celebration for John's 65th birthday which brought together members of the family from all over the state - and Arizona.
Sue and Leah and Thess did a fantastic job of organizing seating, entertainment and invitations and then buying and preparing an extravagant selection of food and drink. Wow, thanks so much!
I don't know why I had been a bit anxious about the whole thing. I think I don't like crowds, but then it really turns out to be a lot of fun.
A few special moments:
Watching Jack, Luke and Ivy take turns walking Joxer. The kids love the dogs and are so cute when they take responsibility for them.
David tending the grill and cooking all those hot dogs
James and Jody playing the guitars
The grandmothers sitting together and sharing a quilt to keep warm
Watching all the water come pouring off the canopy
Sue, Becky and the kids playing horseshoes
and of course all the wonderful conversations with people
I believe a great time was had by all!

Here's a list of all those who came:
Helen Fenner
Connie DeMartino with daughters Lisa and Laurie
Jody and David Rosenbaum with Ivy and Fletcher
Carol Radtke and Diane Remington and Mark Fenner
Seth and Jack and Luke
Leah and James
Sue and Becky
Connie and John
